welcome to my blog about food, flowers and other things that make me happy.
a beautiful morning
Today was a day full of digital meetings, and luckily I could start the day in the garden with the most magical morning light. It gave me energy for the entire day!
black Sesame ice cream
If you’re like me and love creamy, nutty and salty flavours then you will most likely be seduced by this lovely black sesame ice cream! It’s really easy to make and you don’t even need an ice cream machine.

Zucchini and halloumi fritters
This is one of my favourite zucchini dishes. It’s possible to do endless variations of zucchini fritters but the combo of zucchini and halloumi is really amazing and adding some potatoes makes them more crispy when cooked.
Flowers from the garden
Dahlias, snapdragons, cosmos, fennel and sanguisorba in a lovely combination.
Today’s harvest
Zucchini, purple beans, figs and the last broad beans. Not satisfied with the last round of broad beans, not sure if it was too dry when we were away in July or if it’s this variety.

thinly sliced zucchini with labneh balls
Thinly sliced zucchini to be eaten raw, dressed with some freshly squeezed lemon and olive oil, then served with labneh balls rolled in chives, chili and paprika powder, chopped roasted walnuts and marigold petals. So fresh and delicious!
tomatoes, tomatoes & tomatoes
How to make a quicker than quick tomato tarte with readymade puff pastry and tomatoes in various colours and shapes. Super quick and delicious!
Sometimes the simple things are the best.
Went out in the garden to pick a quiet bunch of Cosmos atrosanguineus, just because sometimes the simple things are so damn nice.
i love my homegrown aubergines
Grilled aubergines with a sauce made of labneh, tahini and lemon juice and topped with za’atar and olive oil. I love the middle eastern flavours!
salad with baked grapes, Chèvre and walnuts.
Salad with roasted grapes, goat cheese, fennel dill and walnuts. I roasted the grapes in the oven together with garlic, rosemary and olive oil, in the same way as I usually do with tomatoes.
time to harvest the grapes!
Homegrown fruits and vegetables not only taste better, but they are also healthier when you grow them in a natural, organic way. I love being part of the entire journey, from seed to plate, and to know exactly how the soil has been prepared and how the plants have been cared for without any use of chemicals.
that light!
Love the light on the wall paintings in our staircare. The paintings are dating back to when the house was built in 1934.
a rainy day in malmö
Today it was finally raining here in Malmö. It made me think more about life indoors again and felt it was about time to make the bed with my new bed linen.
grilled fig leaf and honey pannacotta
Grilled fig leaves in cream sounds really weird, but I promise, it’s super delicious. With a fragrance of coconut and a hint of tobacco. The flavour is soft with hints of coconut and figs.
wednesday flowers
Today I’m going to have a full day digital workshop with my colleagues in Stockholm. I believe the creativity will flow better with some flowers from the garden to look at.
Figs from the garden, prosciutto crudo & balsamic vinegar.
Figs from the garden, prosciutto crudo, balsamic vinegar. Quick but non the less wonderful starter!
