black Sesame ice cream

If you’re like me and love creamy, nutty and salty flavours then you will most likely be seduced by this lovely black sesame ice cream!

It’s really easy to make and you don’t even need an ice cream machine. You first mix the roasted sesame seeds with vanilla and condensed milk, and then fold it into whipped cream.

Once in Tokyo, in a hamburger joint somewhere, I ordered a milkshake with black sesame seeds. It was heavenly good, with a nutty, slightly salty flavour. You know, like a really good Italian pistachio ice cream or topping the yoghurt with peanut butter. I have never found anything similar here in Scandinavia so I decided to give it a try myself.

After a few hours in the freezer you’ll have this lovely fluffy ice cream. Here it’s served with roasted pistachios and a liquorice/black sesame sauce. Insanely good!!!
