welcome to my blog about food, flowers and other things that make me happy.
a beautiful morning
Today was a day full of digital meetings, and luckily I could start the day in the garden with the most magical morning light. It gave me energy for the entire day!
the last asparagus of the year
Today it was time to harvest the last asparagus of the year and let the plants grow up to gather strength for next year.
broad beans!
How I long for the first tender beans, to eat raw with some pecorino cheese and a glass of red wine. Like a piece of Tuscany in Skåne!
Asparagus, asparagus & asparagus
This time of the year we eat asparagus in all forms, and ways. And I don’t complain. It’s my favourite vegetable in our garden, and it keeps coming back year after year.
the roses in my garden
Finally the roses are blossoming. Actually more and better than ever before! Me and the roses have a complicated relationship. I often think that they are too attention demanding and acting like primadonnas. But I forgive them every time I can pick some of these lovely fragrant and seducingly beautiful flowers!
no waste asparagus soup
We eat asparagus almost every day now. And they grow so quickly that it’s sometimes difficult for me to have time to harvest them before they grow too big and get woody. In most of the dishes you only want to use the nice part of the asparagus. I often save the “ugly ends” in a container in the fridge and they sit there waiting to become a soup.
