Our fig tree really loves this Mediterranean-like weather we have at the moment. There are lots of fruits and I find them sweeter and tastier than previous years. Tonight we had a salad with grilled figs, prosciutto crudo, walnuts and grilled bread with chèvre. All completed with a good drizzle of a quality balsamic vinegar on top.
Maybe the best flavour combination ever? We also tried to roast fig leaves, but that’s another story...
