Friday flowers from the garden

Happy Friday! Today I’m not only celebrating that it’s Friday and weekend ahead, but also that this blog is going live! A huge step for me, and hopefully for Life of a Gardenista too.

I started the instagram account back in May and I have had so much fun creating the posts and thinking about what content to create! However, I started to feel a bit limited by the small format and the short text. What in the beginning felt like a good start and at the right ambition level, now feels a bit constraint.

This is still something I do on the side of my full-time work as a CMF designer, and I will still commute to Stockholm for work, even though not as frequently now due to the Covid-situation. And as my time is limited, I will post more on Instagram than here on the blog. I really love the quick and simple format!

But every now and then I will prepare something bigger. Maybe a more detailed explanation about how I grow asparagus, or a really nice recipe with a step by step guide, or a longer text about something I have been nerding in on… Then this format will be much more suitable!

I started with filling the blog with snapshots from my instagram, some longer and richer than others. Here it’s also easier to find old posts, and you can use the search function to find something specific. If you search for recipe, you’ll find all the recipes I have posted on insta before and so on.

To celebrate this new beginning I picked a bunch of flowers in the garden today! It’s crazy to still find dahlias and cosmos flowering in the garden! In november, in Sweden!

Welcome to my little space in this huge digital world, hope you will enjoy being here! And don’t be a stranger - leave comments or questions or ideas. I would love to hear from you!

Have a lovely weekend!

Lots of love, Sara.
